Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
We are now offeringWhat Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a therapeutic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms.
Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.
How Do We Offer KAP?
Ketamine is prescribed by an independent licensed medical provider following medical evaluation. Our team provides preparation, therapeutic support during dosing sessions, and integration psychotherapy. There are multiple different ways that we offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). When it comes to the route of administration, our licensed medical provider offers the options of sublingual, intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), or subcutaneous (SC).
Every ketamine experience we offer unfolds within a calm, serene environment intentionally curated to support a transformative experience. We offer these experiences in multiple different formats, including individual, couples, and small group experiences.
Individual Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy- Individual KAP is a personalized, trauma-informed experience designed to meet each person’s needs. Sessions can include psychotherapy, somatic awareness, grounding practices, and optional sound bowl support. Focus is also put on proper preparation and post-experience integration in order to support safety, reflection, and insight.
Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Experiences- Group ketamine-assisted experiences are intentionally designed and carefully held by Sam and Misha as co-facilitators, grounded in trust, attunement, and nervous system awareness. This work is rooted in an almost decade-long friendship and professional collaboration, bringing depth, trust, and presence to how we hold group space. Our approach is informed by shared work in a shadow-focused and nervous system–oriented retreat setting, including a retreat hosted together in at a Colorado hot springs location. While each participant’s ketamine experience remains deeply personal, the group container is designed to foster curiosity, connection, and integration. Sound healing is an integral part of the experience, and participants are invited to immerse themselves in a cozy, intentionally designed zen-den environment that supports grounding and intimate reflection.
*We are currently only offering KAP for those located in the Denver, Colorado area.
